Robert Laverne Brandon, 85, of Evans City passed away Wednesday evening in the Lowrie Place, Butler.

Born May 12, 1929, in Whitestown, Connoquenessing Township, he was the son of the late Theodore and Evelyn Pyle Brandon.

He was retired from Halstead-Mitchell in Zelienople.

Bob enjoyed gardening, hunting and fishing.

He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

He is survived by his children, Patricia J. (Michael) Harris of Stow, Ohio, Dr. William R. Brandon of Hyannis, Mass., and Brenda L. (Lance Collier) Davis of Evans City; his grandchildren, James Harris, Amy Gray, Kathleen Joseph, Nick Harris and Brandon Davis; one great-grandson, Luke Harris; and his brother, Charles (June) Brandon of Whitestown.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Spivey Brandon, who he married on April 26, 1953, and who passed away March 29, 2013; and his two brothers, William Brandon and Raymond Brandon.

BRANDON — Family and friends of Robert Laverne Brandon, who died Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2014, will be received at the Edward L. Raisley Funeral Home, 387 Main St., Prospect, on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until time of the service. The memorial service will be at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Connie Dunn officiating.Interment with military honors will follow in the Mt. Nebo Cemetery.The family would like to thank the staff at the VNA Hospice and the Lowrie Place for their care and compassion during Mr. Brandon's stay.
