The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) PA Butler will offer the NAMI Family-to-Family Education Program from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Saturdays beginning Jan. 10 at the Mental Health Association, 140 N. Elm St., Butler.

The program will have 12-sessions designed for family, partners, friends and significant others of adults living with mental illness.

The sessions will help them understand and support their loved one living with mental illness, while maintaining their own well being.

Participants also will gain information about navigating the complex mental health system.

The program's trained teachers have experience living with mentally ill loved ones.

PROSPECT — The teen advisory board at Prospect Community Library, 357 Main St., will sponsor a Lego competition from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Dec. 29 at St. Christopher of the Lake Roman Catholic Church, Routes 528 and 422.The contest is for children ages 3 to 13. Legos will be provided.Notices of local upcoming news should be received by the Focus Department one week in advance of the event.
