Haefner

Donald A. Haefner, 60, of Cranberry Township passed away Friday in the comfort of his home surrounded by family.

Born Sept. 22, 1954, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Donald and Dorothy (Beining) Haefner.

Don was a lifelong and faithful member of St. Ferdinand Catholic Church.

He operated heavy equipment for 30 years, and he owned and operated Pork N' Nat Restaurant in Cranberry Township for the past three years.

An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting and camping, but especially found great joy in spending time with his family and friends. Don will be dearly missed by all.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his three children, Kristen McAlpine and her husband, Ken, of Valencia, Jason Haefner and his wife, Mallory, of Evans City and Justin Haefner and his wife, Amber, of Bridgeville; three grandchildren, Kyle, Kelsey and Aiden; two sisters, Ruth Ruckert and her husband, Denny, of Freedom and Sylvia Bittel of Cranberry Township; his furry four-legged companion, Benji; and cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by a brother, Russell Haefner.

HAEFNER — The family of Donald A. Haefner, who died Friday, Nov. 14, 2014, will receive friends from 3 to 7 p.m. Monday at Glenn-Kildoo Funeral Home, 130 Wisconsin Ave., Cranberry Township.A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Ferdinand Catholic Church, 2535 Rochester Road, Cranberry Township with the Rev. John Gallagher, celebrant.
