Gertrude A. McCabe McCall, 79, of Eldorado, Parker, passed away Saturday at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh following a three-year challenge with cancer.

Born on Nov. 18, 1935, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late Bart and Nellie Bathurst McCabe.

She was a Catholic and always willing to help with any work of the church.

Strong-willed and independent, she was always concerned with the well-being of her family and her host of friends.

Surviving are her daughter, Barbara (Kevin) Miller of Ford City; her two sons, John “Jack” (Stacey) McCall of Cabot and Edward (Cindy) McCall of Verona, and her granddaughter, Jennifer McCall.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph McCall, on Oct. 31, 2000.
