Olive Ferne Dembeck
Olive Ferne Dembeck, 98, formerly of Fairview, passed away at 3 a.m. Monday at the VNA Inpatient Hospice. Most recently she was a resident of the Chicora Medical Center.
She was born on Aug. 1, 1916, in Canal, Venango County, to the late Lawrence Lee Wheeling and Mayme Lupher Wheeling.
Mrs. Dembeck was a homemaker and also worked for Penn Drake in Karns City.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Butler.
Mrs. Dembeck is survived by her three daughters, Carol Dembeck of Milton, Vt., Linda Dembeck of Cleveland, Ohio, and Susan Dembeck of Butler, and a number of nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Dembeck, who she married on Sept. 5, 1950, and who passed away on Oct. 6, 1984, and also by her two brothers, Kimbel and Jay Wheeling.
Dembeck — The friends of Olive Ferne Dembeck, who passed away Monday, Nov. 24, 2014, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler.There will be no visitation on Thanksgiving Day. Additional visitation will be from 10 a.m. to services at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Pastor David Maitland of the First Baptist Church officiating.
