John B. Murray
John B. Murray, 85, of Stroudsburg passed away Sunday at his home.
Born in Power, he was the son of the late John and Anna Conway Murray.
John was a resident of the Stroudsburg area for the past 50 years and before that he lived in the New York City area.
John was a Merchant Marine for many years and later became a cargo inspector for New York City for many years.
He was a member of the St. Luke's Catholic Church of Stroudsburg, where he was an usher and worked on the Festival committee.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War and was a member of the American Legion. John was also a very active Knight of Columbus in the Fr. Butler Council 4085 Third Degree, Stroudsburg, and a member of the 980 Assembly Fourth Degree.
He is survived by his daughter, Anne M. Westbrook, and his grandson, Christopher A. Westbrook, both of Slippery Rock, and his two sisters, Helen Janek of California and Katherine Kennedy of Michigan.

Murray, who passed away Sunday, Nov. 30, 2014, was from 9 a.m. until the time of Mass at 10 a.m. today at the St. Luke's Catholic Church, 818 Main St., Stroudsburg, with the Fr.
