Alvina Shumaker Fox Beck, 86, of Butler passed away at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Alvina was born on Aug. 1, 1928 in Lenoir, N.C., the daughter of the late Thomas Peter Shumaker and Jessie Leona Craig Shumaker.

She had been employed at Sears for a number of years.

Alvina is survived by her two daughters, Vicki (Tom) Beck of Butler and Jessica Fox of Pittsburgh; her son, Randy (Linda) Fox of Butler; her three grandchildren, April (Matt) Campbell, Michael (Kristen) Beck and Madeline Fox; her three great-grandchildren; her brother, Paul Shumaker of North Carolina, and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Alvina was preceded in death by her husbands, Ransom Fox and Raymond Beck; her three sisters, and two brothers.
