Richard Miller

Richard William Miller, 94, of Butler passed away Wednesday at his home.

He was born on Oct. 31, 1920, in Young-stown, Ohio, to the late Charles Miller and Ruth King Miller.

Mr. Miller was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving during World War II as an aviation machinist mate 3rd class.

He worked for International Staple and Machine Co. in East Butler.

Mr. Miller was a member of St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church and AARP. He enjoyed hunting, bowling and woodworking.

Mr. Miller is survived by his wife, Mary Eleanor Miller, whom he married on June 9, 1949; his daughter, Darlene Miller, and his son, Thomas Miller, both of Butler; a number of nieces and nephews, and a number of great-nieces and nephews.

Miller — The friends of Richard William Miller, who passed away Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2014, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. to services at 8 p.m. Saturday at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler, with the Rev. Dr. Alden Towberman of St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church officiating.
