City man in trouble with law again
A Butler man was arrested Wednesday evening after allegedly attacking his girlfriend during a domestic dispute at their apartment in the 400 block of West Cunningham Street, city police said.
Justin M. Castilyn, 35, is in the Butler County Prison to await arraignment on a charge of simple assault, following his arrest.
Castilyn's girlfriend, 33-year-old Brandi Sue Antonelli, suffered minor injuries but she refused medical treatment, according to a police report.
Officers were called to the couple's home shortly before 6 p.m. after an argument turned physical, Antonelli told police.
The argument started when Castilyn made a derogatory comment about her 8-year-old son, who is autistic, the report said.
Castilyn later allegedly choked Antonelli. Officers noted that the woman had “bruising, redness and swelling” on her neck.
Castilyn, who has four prior felony convictions, is on probation.
In his most recent case, he pleaded no contest to summary disorderly conduct stemming from an altercation last year with a man in Butler.
