Robert McCormick
Robert P. “Bob” McCormick, 66, of Lancaster Township passed away Wednesday after bravely battling cancer for over five years.
Born May 16, 1948, in Ellwood City, he was the son of the late Robert McCormick Sr. and Mildred (Nickle) McCormick of Zelienople.
Bob was a faithful man who was involved in many activities in the church. He played church league softball, was a leader of the Webelos in Cub Scouts and coached Little League baseball. An avid outdoorsman, Bob enjoyed hunting, trapping, fishing and visiting his family camp in Tionesta. He was a fan of Pittsburgh sports teams and loved sharing stories with his hunting and fishing buddies. Above all, he was a witness to the glory of the Lord and his profound faith sustained him throughout his illness.
In addition to his mother, he leaves behind to cherish his memory his beloved wife of 41 years, Sharon (Stahlman) McCormick, who he married on July 27, 1973; his daughter, Gina Kosak and her husband, Dan, of Zelienople; his son, Chris McCormick and his wife, Sabrina, of Cranberry Township; his grandson, Tucker McCormick; and his extended family and friends.
