Larry Frampton

Larry Cyrus Frampton, 68, of Harrisville passed away at 6:20 p.m. Friday at the Autumn Grove Nursing Center.

Larry had a stroke in August 1995 and continued to work with his health limitations with great courage and a positive outlook.

Larry was born on Oct. 2, 1946, in Harrisville to the late Harriet Melissa Steelwagon and Vinter Vincent “VV” Frampton. His middle name was Cyrus after his grandfather who was a Methodist minister.

He had 10 brothers and four sisters and was very close to his family.

He leaves behind his wife, Karen D. at home; his son, Richard D. of Charlotte, N.C.; his daughter, Deborah J. Filby and her husband, Scott, of Raleigh, N.C.; his two beautiful granddaughters, Carly Alyssa Filby, 21, and Delaney Nicole Filby, 19, both of Raleigh, N.C.; his three brothers, D. Scott and his wife, Mary, and Sam, all of Grove City, and Jerry L. Frampton of Harrisville; and his two sisters, Sonya and her husband, Ernie Mace, and Susie Frampton, all of Frankfort, Ky.

In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his seven brothers, Jay Stillwagon, Richard, James, John, Gene, Charles and Russell Frampton, and his two sisters, Beth Evans and Louise Bell.

Larry was an avid hunter and outdoorsman and spent every night he could during the hunting season in the woods while his health permitted.

Larry was an auto body repair man and car lover. He owned and operated Larry Frampton Auto Body in Harrisville until his illness.

He was affiliated with the Forestville United Methodist Church.

Larry will be deeply missed by his wife; his two children; his son-in-law; and his two granddaughters, all of whom loved him very much.

Frampton— The family of Larry Cyrus Frampton, who passed away Friday, Jan. 16, 2015, will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at theSmith Funeral Home, 421 New Castle St., Slippery Rock.Additional visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. Barbara Moore, pastor of the Forestville United Methodist Church, presiding.Memorial contributions may be made to the Forestville United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 102, Forestville, PA 16035.
