Joseph Ostwinch
Joseph Ostwinch, 101, formerly of Butler, passed away Sunday at the Arbors in Valencia.
Born on Nov. 10, 1913, in Butler, he was a son of the late Anthony and Mary Ostwinch.
He worked for the Butler Veterans Hospital for many years in the maintenance department where he retired. He later worked for Magnetics as a security guard in East Butler.
He was a member of the St. Peter Roman Catholic Church in Butler and a lifetime member of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees and the VFW Post 249 in Butler.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
Surviving is his sister-in-law, Margaret Ostwinch of Butler, and his numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Craig Ostwinch, who passed away on July 4, 2009; his four brothers; and his three sisters.
