Marjorie J. Swartzwelder, 82, of Fombell/Mercer, passed away Friday at the Grove City Medical Center.

Born on Dec. 10, 1932, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late John and Edith Smith-Sigmund.

Marjorie was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Zelienople for many years.

She enjoyed listening to music and spending time with her pets. She loved her role as a nurse and worked at the Southside Hospital, Home Instead and Treesdale Manor. But above all, Marjorie will be most remembered for her caring spirit and willingness to care for others.

She is survived by her four daughters, Debbie S. Cepris (Jim) of Mercer, Fawn Eichenauer (Edwin) of Valencia, Cindy Chisholm of Valencia, and Becky Kohler (Don) of Elwood City; her brother, John W. Sigmund (Francis) of Prospect; her 13 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert M. Swartzwelder, on Jan. 11, 2000; her two sisters, Clarissa Bishop and Lydia Wituszyniski, and her two grandsons, Edwin Eichenauer Jr. and Richard Morece.

Swartzwelder — Marjorie's family will welcome friends of Marjorie J. Swartzwelder, who passed away Friday, Jan. 9, 2015, from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Boylan Funeral Home, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople.A funeral ceremony will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Marjorie will be laid to rest at Lakewood Memorial Gardens, Cheswick.If desired, memorial contributions may be made in her honor in support of the Butler County Humane Society, 1015 Evans City Road, Renfrew, PA 16053.Expressions of sympathy may be shared with Marjorie's family at www.boylanfuneralhome.com.
