Mae L. Bowser
Mae L. Bowser, 93, of Butler passed away at 12:20 a.m. Monday at the Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born June 23, 1921, in Butler County to the late Thompson Flick and Isabell Oliver Flick.
Mrs. Bowser worked as a cook in the canteen at the Butler Veterans Affairs Hospital and at Ricardo's Restaurant, retiring in June 1980.
She attended the Mt. Chestnut United Presbyterian Church and was a Butler County foster grandparent.
Mrs. Bowser is survived by her two sons, Wayne V. Bowser Jr. and his wife, Darcee, of Prospect and Carl D. Bowser and his wife, Penny, of Stafford, Va.; her daughter, Beverly Lotraris and her husband, Alex, of Butler; her four grandchildren, Steven Pomykata and his wife, Darcie, Christine Davis and her husband, Gordon, Kelsey Bowser and Courtney Bowser; her five great-grandchildren, Owen, Gavin and Alayna Davis, and Madison and Jacob Pomykata; her three stepgrandchildren, Tammy Huth, Barbara Mook and her husband, James, and Christine Massier and her husband, Rob; her four step-great-grandchildren, Adam and Kelly Huth, and Alexis and Max Mook; and a number of nieces and nephews, including Mary Ann Unking and her husband, Bill.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne V. Bowser Sr., who passed away on May 13, 1983; her two sisters; and her three brothers.
Bowser— There will be no public visitation for Mae L. Bowser, who passed away Monday, Jan. 19, 2015.A memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Mt. Chestnut Presbyterian Church, 727 Old Route 422 West, Butler, with the Rev. Jeff Curtis officiating.
