Joseph R. Kessler, 48, of Valencia passed away Tuesday.

He was the beloved husband for 14 years of Michelle A. Gezzi Kessler; loving father of Madison A. Kessler and Tristan J. Kessler, both at home; dear son of Joseph F. and Lorraine Gallenz Kessler of Valencia; brother of Amy (David) Carter and Kevin Kessler; son-in-law of Michael (the late Maryann) Gezzi of West Deer; and brother-in-law of Lisa (Mark) Lutynsky and Tony (Donna) Gezzi. He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews.

Joseph was a graduate of the Pittsburgh Institute of Aeronautics, working as an airline mechanic for Jet Stream, U.S. Air, Republic Airlines, and Flight Options.

He enjoyed working on cars, hunting, fishing, playing billiards, traveling, and spending time and laughing with family and friends. Above all, he cherished time with his children and being a father. A devoted son, he often was helping and visiting with his parents in Valencia and could constantly be counted on to do anything for others in need.
