Allegheny-Clarion Valley High School senior Casey Boreland works on making a Channel Catfish Spawning box with the help of Glade Run Lake Conservancy representatives Friday during the Student Council Conference at Mars High School. Regional student council leaders made 32 boxes to help increase Glade Run Lake's catfish population once the lake is refilled. The students made the boxes with the help of conservancy and state Fish and Boat Commission members. State Sen. Randy Vulakovich, R-40th, spoke to the students, encouraging them to participate in public service once they graduate.
