Joseph Stanley Borcz
Joseph Stanley Borcz, 91, of Butler passed away at 8:50 p.m. Sunday at the Butler VNA Inpatient Hospice.
Joseph was born on July 15, 1923, in Braddock. He was the son of the late Albert Borcz and Nellie Catherine Kolano Borcz.
He was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Army, 478th AAA Btn Battery B.
Joseph was a member of the St. Alphonsus Parish, having attended the St. Louis Catholic Church.
He retired from Cooper Energy in Grove City where he was a machine operator.
Joseph was a life-member of the VFW and the DAV of Butler. He was also a member of the American Legion Post 243 in West Sunbury and the Butler County Senior Citizens.
Joseph is survived by his three daughters, Mrs. Theresa Ann Hunter of Valparaiso, Fla., Mrs. Paul (Katherine) Uber of West Sunbury and Mrs. Albert (Paula) Nagy of Boyers; his seven grandchildren; his four great-grandchildren; his sister, Jean Borcz of Pittsburgh; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Joseph was preceded in death by his wife, Harriet Hunter Borcz, who passed away on May 9, 2007; his three brothers; and one sister.
Borcz— The friends of Joseph Stanley Borcz, who passed away Sunday, Feb. 8, 2015, will be received from 11:30 a.m. until the time of a blessing service at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the William F. Young Funeral Home, 132 Main St., West Sunbury, with Father James Bedillion of the St. Alphonsus Parish officiating.
