Mary Anna Christie Elliott

Mary Anna Christie Elliott, 92, of Butler passed away at 6:55 p.m. Monday at the Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born on May 22, 1922, in Eau Claire to the late Harold Bell and Mildred Hindman Bell.

Mrs. Elliott was a homemaker and a member of the Meridian United Presbyterian Church.

She was a member of the Butler Women's Club, the Order of the Eastern Star Maqueda Chapter and the Unionville Grange Number 1971. Mrs. Elliott enjoyed bowling.

Mary Anna is survived by her three daughters, Margaret Leitz and her husband, William, of Placerville, Calif., Bonnie Fiel and her husband, James, of Butler and Joyce Moorehead and her husband, William, of Ann Arbor, Mich.; her stepson, William H. Elliott and his wife, Cindy, of Butler; her stepdaughter, Karen Cockroft and her husband, Frank, of Butler; her seven grandchildren; her 15 great-grandchildren; her seven stepgrandchildren; and a number of step-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Keith C. Christie, who passed away on April 20, 1982, and her second husband, Albert W. Elliott, who passed away on Sept. 11, 2006.

Elliott — The friends of Mary Anna Christie Elliott, who passed away Monday, Feb. 9, 2015, will be received from 2 to 4 and from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler.Funeral services will immediately follow at 8 p.m. with the Rev. Stephen M. Franklin of the Meridian United Presbyterian Church officiating. Entombment will take place in the Chapel of Devotion Mausoleum at Butler County Memorial Park.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Unionville Grange Number 1971, Grange Hall, Benbrook Road, Butler PA 16001.Online condolences can be given at www.thompson-miller.com.
