William R. McWilliams
William R. McWilliams, 90, of Sarver passed away Saturday at the Saxony Health Center.
Born on Oct. 29, 1924, in Freeport, he was the son of the late William R. McWilliams Sr. and Jessie Mitchell McWilliams.
He worked as an electrician for Armco, retiring in 1987.
He was a member of the St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening.
Surviving are his wife, Bette M. Edwards McWilliams, who he married on Sept. 10, 1954; his daughter, Roxanne (Jim) Freehling of Sarver; his two grandchildren, and his four great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his three brothers, George McWilliams, John “Jack” McWilliams and Joseph McWilliams; his sister, Mary Cogley; his granddaughter, Rebecca “Becky” Freehling, and his nephew, Ellis “Bud” Cogley.
McWilliams— The friends of William R. McWilliams, who died Saturday, Feb. 14, 2015, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Fox Funeral Home, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Father Ward Stakem and the Rev. Robert Wilson officiating.
