Betty J. Wiles
Betty J. Wiles, 86, formerly of East Brady, went to be with our Lord on Monday at the Regent Care Center of Kingwood, Texas.
Betty was born on Aug. 22, 1928, in East Brady, the daughter of the late William and Sadie Ekis Miller.
Betty was an amazing person. As one of the doctors recently said, “She is the sweetest person I have ever met.”
Betty was extremely hardworking and very talented. During the day, she worked at the Traveler's Hotel as a waitress and cook where she made the most wonderful food — stuffed pork chops that melted in your mouth and heavenly coconut cream pies, then went home for dinner with her family, and then off to her second job at Steve's Candyland.
One of Betty's greatest passions was crocheting and giving her creations away as gifts. She had such a giving heart! God used this great lady to show His love through her hugs, her kindness, her love, and her sweet spirit. She was such a blessing to this world and she will be dearly missed!
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Harry Wiles; her brother and sister-in-law, Jack and Doreen Miller; her brother and sister-in-law, Beryl and Anona Miller Sr., and her stepson, Lowel Wiles.
She is survived by her children and their spouses; her 14 grandchildren; her 41 great-grandchildren, and her five great-great-grandchildren as follows: Her son and daughter-in-law, Bruce and Irene Miller, and their children Bruce Miller Jr., Cheri Cocroan and Kristi Pletcher, and Bruce and Irene's 11 grandchildren; her daughter and son-in-law, Mitzi and Edward Davis, and their children, Kimberly Rutkowski, Kelly Davis and Stephen Davis, and Mitzi and Ed's seven grandchildren; her stepdaughter-in-law, Donna Willison and Mike, and her children, Darryl Wiles, Diane Wiles, Wendy Huffman and Crystal Shick, and Lowel and Donna's 14 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; and her stepson and stepdaughter-in-law, Gene and Laura Wiles, and their children Dale Wiles, Debra Frehling, Mark Wiles and Brian Wiles, and Gene and Laura's nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She also leaves behind her two nephews and her niece.
