Betty Jean Livermore Davis
Betty Jean Livermore Davis, 85, of Butler went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday at Butler Memorial Hospital surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on Sept. 23, 1929, in Carnegie, the daughter of the late Lewis S. Livermore and Lilly Lewis Livermore Byers.
She enjoyed reading and visiting the Butler Public Library. She was excellent at working crossword and jigsaw puzzles. She loved watching old movies and spending time with her family. She was a Protestant.
She was a very kind, generous woman who was always wanting to help those in need.
Surviving are her three daughters, Mrs. Michael (Nancy) Sleigher of Butler, Mrs. Earl “George” (Carolyn) Clark of Butler and Mrs. Gary (Kathleen) Kradel of Butler; her son, Kenneth R. (Tracy) Davis Jr. of Butler; her seven grandchildren; her seven great-grandchildren, and her two sisters, Patricia Kandrin of Haines City, Fla., and Barbara Crawford of Tampa, Fla.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth R. Davis, who died on Nov. 27, 2009; her son, John W. Geagan III; two brothers, and two sisters.
Davis— The friends of Betty Jean Livermore Davis, who passed away Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2015, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6:30 p.m. until the time of service at 8:30 p.m. Thursday at the Young Funeral Home, 127 W.
