Thomas Compton

Thomas Paul Compton, 65, of Butler passed away Thursday at his home.

He was born on Sept. 19, 1949, in Butler, the son of the late Daniel A. and Mildred Trachet Compton.

Thomas enjoyed fishing and camping.

He had worked for Pepsi-Cola and retired from Trader Horn. He was a member of the Slovak Club.

Surviving are his son, Toby S. Plaisted of Slippery Rock; his two grandsons, Lewis and Dominick Plaisted; his sister, Mary E. Green and her husband, Patrick, of Butler; his two brothers, George W. Compton of Karns City and John R. Compton and his wife, Judith, of Butler; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter-in-law, Cathleen Plaisted; his brother, Daniel Compton Jr.; his nephews, George M. Compton and Dustin McGregor; and his sisters-in-law, Darlene Compton and Linda Compton.

Compton — A memorial service for Thomas Paul Compton, who passed away Thursday, Feb. 19, 2015, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Mt. Chestnut Presbyterian Church, 727 W.
