CRANBERRY TWP — Franklin Road was restricted to one lane for less than hour Thursday afternoon after a dead tree fell in the road.

The tree fell on its own around 3:30 p.m. and there were no accidents before police were able to block off the westbound lane of the road, said Joshua Shimko of the township police.

Members of the township volunteer fire company responded to clear the debris so the road could be reopened.
