Celia A. Burk
Celia A. Burk, 90, formerly of Butler, passed away Wednesday morning at Woodcrest Nursing Home in Decatur, Ind., following a lingering illness.
Born on July 22, 1924, in Venango County, she was the daughter of the late Allen and Virgie Smith Woods.
Surviving are her three daughters, Sally (Blaine) Miller of Decatur, Ind., and Pensacola, Fla., Dian (Eddie) Sasse of Greenville, Tenn., and Ruth Burk of Pensacola, Fla.; her two sons, Jack W. (Jeanette) Burk of Karns City and George T. Burk of Texas, and her several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Guy H. Burk, who she married on Aug. 9, 1942, and who passed away on May 17, 2004; her sister, Ida Murphy; her son, Guy “Butch” Burk, and her three grandsons.
Burk— The friends of Celia A. Burk, who passed away Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2015, may call from noon until the time of funeral services at 2 p.m. Saturday at the H. Jack Buzard Funeral Home, 201 S.
