Robert Charles Hayes Sr., 68, of Butler passed away Wednesday at his home of natural causes.

He was born on June 21, 1946, in Butler, the son of the late Ralph and Norma Williams Hayes.

Bob graduated from Butler High School in 1966 and retired from AK Steel after 33 years of service.

He enjoyed hunting, photography, spending time at his camp, being outdoors and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Surviving are his wife, Bonnie J. Hayes, who he married on June 10, 1967; his son, Robert Hayes Jr. of Butler; his daughter, Tammy (Jack) Brandon of Harrisville; his son, Scott (Lorri) Hayes of Harrisville; his grandchildren, Richard Engle, Nicholas Hayes and Samantha Hayes, all of Butler, and Ashley Brandon, Adam Brandon and Emily and Megan Hayes, all of Harrisville; his sister, Cathy (James) Flick of Willoughby, Ohio; his brother, Donald (Teirrah) Hayes of Butler; his sister-in-law, Rita Hayes of Butler; and his many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Ralph Hayes Jr.
