Adam Urbania went 5-for-6 with a home run, two RBI and three runs scored as the Slippery Rock University baseball team earned a doubleheader sweep of Gannon University, 9-2 and 7-6, at Jack Critchfield Park Monday afternoon.

Grove City High graduate Jon Anderson picked up the Game 1 win.

The Rock (17-12, 8-8) scored two runs in the bottom of the seventh to tie Gannon in Game 2 and then won it on an error in the bottom of the eighth.

SRU has now won six straight games.

Softball

Carly DeRose won a pair of games in the circle as The Rock swept Clarion, 2-0 and 5-2.

Both runs scored against DeRose in Game 2 were unearned.

Taylor Welch was 2-for-3 with a triple and a RBI in the first game.

Alaynna Beers went 2-for-3 with a double and Allie Fischer also had two hits in the second game for SRU (9-11, 6-4).
