George Kulick
George Kulick, 90, of Butler passed away Saturday.
He was born on June 10, 1924, in Butler to the late John Kulik and Anna Shefchik Kulik.
Mr. Kulick proudly served as a surgical technician in England at the 160th General Hospital of the U.S. Army during World War II.
Mr. Kulick retired from the Hilltop Silicon Department of Armco where he was one of the first employees to start the new facility. He retired in 1986 after more than 30 years.
He was a member of the VFW Post 249 and a lifetime member of the American Legion Post 778.
After retirement, Mr. Kulick became an avid golfer and was a member of several leagues at the Stoughton Acres Golf Course and at the Armco Country Club, where he was a member. He also enjoyed volunteering with the PARC.
Mr. Kulick was a member of the St. Paul Catholic Church in Butler.
Mr. Kulick was blessed to have a wonderful family of caregivers during the last years of his life that included Judy Weiland, Tricia Powell, Jeannette Fleeger, Michelle Peace, Carol Finan, Shirley Lindsay, Brenda Josephs, Sandi Lorenz, Nancy Neal, Tammy Ruediger, Brenda Parsons, Toni Grupp, Kim Noble, Art Thompson, and the special staff at the Concordia Living Center in Cabot.
Mr. Kulick is survived by his wife of 63 years, Rose Cesa Kulick, and his brother, John (Eleanor) Kulik of Allison Park. Also surviving are his three daughters, Joyce (Paul) Montag of Slippery Rock, Cheryl (Donald) Ankrom of Butler and Nancy (Mark) Young of Pittsburgh. He is also survived by his two granddaughters, Angela (Christopher) Jones of Manhattan Beach, Calif., and Trisha (Kevin) Ray of Chardon, Ohio, and his three great-grandchildren, Desmond, Wesley and Penelope Jones.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister and one brother.

McKean St., Butler, to recite the rosary.A Mass of Christian burial will follow at 10 a.m. Friday at the church.
