BUTLER TWP — The Irene Stacy Community Mental Health Center has a new executive director.

The center’s board on Tuesday named Joseph Hauser interim executive director. He replaces Natalie Ross at the position.

That change was announced Friday.

Solicitor Andrew Menchyk on Friday did not comment on whether it was the board or Ross who made the decision to part ways.

“She is no longer employed by the center as of April 21,” he said. “The board wishes her well in her future endeavors.”

Ross had been executive director since February 2013. She previously was the center’s director of programming.

Hauser was promoted from within Irene Stacy. He has worked for the center for more than 16 years, most recently as the director of residential services.

In a press release Friday, the center said, “He looks forward to partnering with Butler County and working with the center’s other affiliates throughout the county to both continue and enhance the services provided by the center.”

Menchyk said the board eventually will name a long-term executive director.

The center, which employees about 125 people, provides a wide array of outpatient and residential services to individuals who struggle with mental illness, intellectual disabilities, and substance use disorders.
