Miller fans 12, shuts out California
Brandon Miller struck out a career-high 12 batters and pitched all nine innings Wednesday as PSAC East regular season champion Millersville blanked California (Pa.), 8-0, in PSAC Tournament play at Kelly Automotive Park.
John Brogan had three hits, including a home run, and drove in two runs for the Marauders (39-9).
Butler graduate Mick Fennell had a double, one of only two hits for California (24-21).
Seton Hill 11, Shippensburg 5 — Former Butler BlueSox pitcher Brett Sullivan worked seven innings for the win, allowing five hits and two earned runs for the Griffins (40-9).
Logan Urtz had three hits and three RBI for Seton Hill. Urtz, Nick Sell and Anthony Fanelli all homered in the win. Butler graduate Cody Herald scored two runs.
East Stroudsburg 18, Mercyhurst 11 — Conner Crookham paced a 21-hit attack for the Warriors (29-17), who shocked the regular season PSAC West champions. Crookham had three hits — including a home run — and scored four runs.
Freeport graduate Ryan Siegel had a double, single and scored two runs for the Lakers (32-7).
