Timothy S. Collins

Timothy S. Collins of Louisville, Ky., formerly of Butler, passed away on Jan. 25 in Louisville, surrounded by family and his friends.

Born on June 18, 1958, in Butler, Tim was the son of Dorothy Graham Collins and the late Thomas P. Collins.

In 1977, Tim graduated from Butler High School, where he won the Pennsylvania State Gymnastic High Bar Championship. He is also honored in the Butler Area Sports Hall of Fame with the Sports family Award 2001.

He studied Art at Northern Illinois University and Georgia Southern University. In addition to his career with UPS, Tim developed a successful landscaping business. He was meticulous with his wood working and pottery interests.

He married Catherine McKay on April 25, 1987, and devoted himself to his family.

In addition to his wife, Tim is survived by his daughters, Jessica Henry (Jonathan) and Erica Collins, and his son, Timothy Collins Jr. (Kayla Holsapple); and granddaughters Sophia Holsapple and Payson Henry. He enjoyed life with his 12 brothers and two sisters. Left behind to remember him are his mother, Dorothy Graham Collins; his sisters, Patti Rock (Chuck) and Cheryl Moran (Tim); his brothers, Ed Collins (Brenda) of Middle Point, Ohio, Ken Collins (Diane) of Butler, Tom Collins (Terri) of Cleveland, Ohio, Dean Collins (Cindy) of Franklin, Mel Collins (Jeannie) from Harrisburg, Terry Collins (Marsha) of Butler, Dave Collins (Donna) of Louisville, Ky., Lou Collins (Maryann) of Butler, Kevin Collins (Pat McQueen) of Chicago, Ill., Jeff Collins (Christie) of Norwell, Mass., Scott Collins (Donna) of Butler and Brian Collins (Marie) of Butler; and his many nieces and nephews.
