Clyde L. Croupe
Clyde L. Croupe, 87, of Cabot, formerly of Butler, passed away at 12:45 a.m. Dec. 20 at the Good Samaritan Hospice at Concordia.
He was born Dec. 31, 1926, in Butler to the late John C. Croupe and Mae Margaret (Walker) Croupe.
Mr. Croupe was a graduate of Butler High School and Westminster College. He was a member of the First English Lutheran Church, where he enjoyed singing in the church choir for many years. Clyde also sang in the Christmas Cantata at Concordia.
He worked as an internal auditor for Heckett MultiServ, retiring in 1995. He was a member of the Butler Lodge 272 F&AM, Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite Valley of New Castle and Luther's Table.
Mr. Croupe served during World War II with the U.S. Eighth Army, including a tour in occupied Japan.
Mr. Croupe is survived by his wife, Dorothy (Klinzing) Croupe, who he married on Dec. 27, 1947; two sons, Clyde Paul Croupe and his wife, Mary, of Silver Spring, Md., and Carl Robert Croupe of Arcadia, Calif.; one daughter, Wendy Anne Naziri and her husband, Hamid, of Arcadia, Calif.; two grandsons, Christpher Paul Croupe and Cameron Paul Naziri; two great-grandsons, William Clyde Croupe and Benjamin Paul Croupe; one brother, Dale C. Croupe and his wife, Lois, of Harlansburg; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Melvin E. Croupe.
CROUPE — There will be no public visitation for Clyde L. Croupe, who died Saturday, Dec. 20, 2014.A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the First English Lutheran Church with the Rev.
