Dr. Henry A. Tumpa
Dr. Henry A. “Hank” Tumpa, 74, of Gibsonia, Adams Township, died unexpectedly on Wednesday morning in the comfort of his home.
Born in Pittsburgh on Feb. 14, 1941, he was the son of the late Michael and Helen Tumpa.
Hank was an optometrist and practiced for 25 years before becoming a land developer.
He was a member of St. Kilian Church and the Treesdale Country Club.
Hank served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
Surviving are his wife, Beverly Pattison Tumpa, who he married on Feb. 2, 1963; three daughters, Lisa Tumpa-Donnellan of Bethesda, Md., and Lynn Tumpa and Laura Tumpa (Patrick Houchen), both of Los Angeles; four grandchildren, Claire and Christian Donnellan, and Grace and Lukah Tumpa; and his brother, Albert Murphy.
TUMPA — Friends of Dr. Henry A. “Hank” Tumpa, who died Wednesday, April 8, 2015, will be received at the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday.A Mass of Christian burial in St. Kilian Church, corner of Clark and Cherry streets in Mars, will be at 10 a.m. Monday with the Rev. Charles Bober, pastor, officiating.
