2 state unions OK extension
HARRISBURG — Two state government employee unions representing about 48,000 workers have agreed to one-year contract extensions.
Gov. Tom Wolf’s administration on Tuesday outlined its agreement with Council 13 of the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees, and the United Food and Commercial Workers, which represents liquor store employees.
It does not call for a general pay increase, but it provides an annual step increase of 2.25 percent for employees with at least a year’s service by January 2016.
