3 arrested in major drug bust in Butler
Narcotics officers seized nearly 900 bags of suspected heroin, dozens of rocks of crack cocaine and thousands of dollars in currency during an early morning raid of an alleged drug house in Butler.
Two purported drug dealers — one from out of county — and a customer were arrested Wednesday at the home in the 300 block of First Street, authorities said.
“This has been a major source for people buying heroin and crack in the city,” county Detective Tim Fennell, who heads the Butler County Drug Task Force, said of the house.
Charged with drug trafficking is Alexander C. Henson, 27, of Harrisburg, and the home's tenant, 38-year-old Mathias J. Johnson.
District Judge Pete Shaffer at 1:30 p.m. was still arraigning the pair as well as Shawn C. Ferrer, 39, of Penn Township, in connection with the drug bust.
Officers, in all, recovered 890 bags of suspected heroin, 47 bags of crack and $4,830 during the raid.
