David E. Updegraff

David E. “Dave” Updegraff, 74, of Slippery Rock passed away at 12:50 a.m. Saturday at the VNA Inpatient Hospice.

He was born Aug. 8, 1940, in Westmoreland County to the late Ella (Richey) Updegraff.

Dave worked as a telephone repairman for Century Link, retiring in 2002. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family and friends.

Dave is survived by one son, Kevin Updegraff and his wife, Amy, of Mesa, Ariz.; one daughter, Ruth Updegraff of Grove City; one granddaughter, Morgan Updegraff of Grove City; one sister, Katherine Spencer of New Castle; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by one sister, Patricia Newton; and two brothers, Paul and Richard Updegraff.

UPDEGRAFF — In accordance with Dave's wishes, there will be no public visitation or service for David E. “Dave” Updegraff, who died Saturday May 2, 2015.Arrangements are being handled by the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E.
