Matt Hansen doubled twice and singled to help lead a hit parade for the Butler BlueSox during their 10-4 win over the Richmond RiverRats Thursday at McBride Stadium in Richmond, Ind.

The BlueSox had 13 hits, including two each from Alex Stephens, David Marcus and Chucky Vazquez.

Stephens led Butler (7-7) with a team-high three RBI. Hansen and Vazquez each drove in two runs.

Butler beat up RiverRats pitcher Sam Burton, plating five runs off him in the second inning.

That would be plenty of run support for BlueSox pitcher Josh LaPiana, who threw 6 1/3 innings, struck out six batters and allowed four runs on five hits.

Butler will play at Richmond again today before coming home for a weekend series with Chillicothe Saturday.
