Joseph C. Bayne, 84, of West Deer Township passed away Thursday.

Born April 22, 1931, in Harmarville, he was the son of the late Samuel D. and May (Schroth) Bayne and husband of the late Martha (Pokey) Bayne, who passed away in 2001.

Joseph was an owner and operator of 18-wheeler trucks.

He was a member of the Teamsters 249 and the Richland Sportsmen's Club. He enjoyed horseshoes and hunting.

Above all, he loved his family and enjoyed life.

He is survived by his daughters, Janice (Chip) Grubbs of Butler and Jody (Tim) Rodgers of West Deer Township; grandchildren, Amy Jo (Jeff) Jenkins, of Sherwood, Ark., Matthew Grubbs of Houston, Texas, Anna (Cory) Shaeffer of West Deer Township, Sara Ferlan of West Deer Township and Jessica (Matt) Ramsey of Venetia, Pa.; and great-grandchildren, Charlotte Grubbs, Zachary Grubbs and Lucas Kartika.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.

Bayne, who died Thursday, May 7, 2015, will welcome friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at King Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 2841 Woodland Circle, Allison Park.A funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev.
