Man who died after tree hit mobile home identified
WORTH TWP — Authorities have released the name of a man killed Friday after a tree smashed into his mobile home during a storm.
The Butler County coroner’s office said 31-year-old Timothy Klaes of Slippery Rock died of head injuries after strong winds or lightning toppled the tree onto the trailer about 5:30 p.m. Friday.
Fire chief Ken Taggart said Klaes was in a hallway and was pinned by the tree. He said the victim was “in the wrong place at the wrong time.”
There were widespread reports of trees toppled by the storm.
