Catherine C. 'Kay' Cumberland
Catherine C. “Kay” Cumberland, 67, of Chicora passed away Saturday morning at Butler Memorial Hospital.
Catherine was born in Karns City on May 19, 1947. She was the daughter of the late George A. and Margaret Flick Uenking.
Kay attended Karns City High School. She was a homemaker and of the Protestant faith. She enjoyed the company of her family and friends, especially her grandchildren, to whom she was affectionately “Nana.” Kay always enjoyed a good laugh and was known for her generous nature.
She is survived by three sons, Robert L. Cumberland and his wife, Leah, of Butler, Michael A. Cumberland and his wife, Amy, of West Sunbury and Mark A. Cumberland and his wife, Cheryl, of Warren; five grandchildren, Alyssa, Chase, Mikaylie, Madison and Jacklynn; two brothers, Thomas Uenking and his wife, Merlene, of North Oakland and William Uenking and his wife, Maryann, of Fairview; four sisters, Barbara Miller of Butler, Mary Hipple and her husband, James, of Chicora, Georgeann Bartoe of Petrolia and Margaret “Peggy” Hetrick and her husband, Donald, of Chicora; as well as a number of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Robert R. Uenking.
