$800,000 lotto ticket sold near Grove City
SPRINGFIELD TWP., Mercer County — One lucky person recently bought a winning Pennsylvania Lottery ticket worth almost $1 million in the borough.
The Country Fair, 1843 Center St., last week sold a Cash 5 ticket that will net the buyer $800,000, minus 25 percent federal holdings. The ticket correctly matched all five numbers — 03-12-16-22-26 — from Friday’s drawing.
The store, near the Prime Outlets, will receive a $5,000 bonus for selling the ticket.
Prizes must be claimed and tickets validated before the winners can be identified. Cash 5 winners have one year from the drawing date to claim prizes.
Cash 5 drawings are held every day.
This is not the first big prize to come from that region this year.
In February, Mary Fowler of Grove City bought a Match 6 Lotto ticket worth $2 million. She bought her ticket from the Rite Aid in Slippery Rock.
She was set to receive $1.5 million after taxes, and the store got $10,000 for selling the ticket.
