Shirley Ann Thompson, 87, of Germantown, Md., formerly of Butler, passed away during the morning of May 30 in Mt. Airy, Md.

She was born Sept. 19, 1927. She was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church in Germantown, Md. She was a real estate agent with Carl E. Shields Realtors and worked many years for Dr. Ernest E. Moore.

She was a great mother, sister, grandmother, aunt and friend.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William F. Thompson Sr.

Surviving are her two daughters, Jennifer Joy Rothen of Mt. Airy, Md.; Rebecca Ann Edick of Santa Clarita, Calif.; one son, William F. Thompson Jr. of Butler; and six grandchildren.

THOMPSON — Memorial services for Shirley Ann Thompson, who died Saturday, May 30, 2015, will be at 4:30 p.m. June 17 at the St. Luke Lutheran Church, 330 Hannahstown Road, Cabot.Her family handled the arrangements.
