Roberta Haynie
Roberta Burtnett “Bobbi” Haynie, 57, of Lancaster Township passed away Tuesday.
Born in Euclid, Ohio, on Dec. 18, 1957, she was the daughter of Robert Thomas Burtnett and the late Jonna Jean (Harwood) Burtnett.
Bobbi was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church in Evans City, where she taught Bible school to the children and conducted vacation Bible school. She enjoyed arts and crafts, photography, gardening and ballroom dancing with her husband, Michael. She was an excellent cook and handmade the best children's dresses. She loved to throw extravagant holiday parties and enjoyed decorating her home. She always made sure that everyone around her was having a great time. She will be dearly missed and fondly remembered.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving husband of 28 years, Michael B. Haynie; her loving children, Sarah Haynie of Lancaster Township and Samantha (Steven) Voelker of Zelienople; her father, Robert Burtnett of Mt. Airy, N.C.; her siblings, Alan (Yvonne) Burtnett of Maryland, Thomas (Dolores) Burtnett of Mt. Airy, N.C., and Susan (Richard) Condon of West Chester, Ohio; and her nieces and nephews, Allyson (Dave) Vance and family, Kristine (Aaron) Dreher and family, Karl (Amy) Burtnett and family and Erin (Jerry) Pettit and family.
In addition to her mother, Bobbi was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Jack Lowell Haynie, and her niece, Nancy Leslie.
HAYNIE — The family of Roberta Burtnett “Bobbie” Haynie, who died Tuesday, June 9, 2015, will welcome friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Boylan Funeral Home, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople.A funeral ceremony will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the First Baptist Church, 242 S. Washington St., Evans City, with the Rev. Jeff MacKay and the Rev.
