Holbrook, Ely
Sarah Mae Holbrook and Benjamin Jorrell Ely, both of Taylors, S.C., were united in marriage April 25 at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church in Greer, S.C. The Rev. Jamie Gonzalez officiated. A reception followed at the Hilton Greenville in Greenville, S.C.
The bride is the daughter of Charles H. Holbrook of Harrisburg and the late Jane E. Holbrook. Parents of the bridegroom are John and Teri Ely of Butler.
The honor attendant was Kimberly Fletcher of Baltimore. Bridesmaids included Christina Lahneman of Barnegat, N.J., Elisha Henry of Brevard, N.C., and Katie Ely of Jersey Shore, Pa.
The flower girls were Jane and Grace Lahneman of Barnegat.
Performing the duties of best man was Joshus Ely of Jersey Shore. Ushers included Thomas Lahneman of Barnegat, Jody Henry of Brevard and Andrew Fletcher of Baltimore.
The ring bearer was Ian Fletcher of Baltimore.
The bride is a 2005 graduate of Bishop McDevitt High School. She received a bachelor’s degree from Lock Haven University in 2010 and a master’s degree from Temple University in 2012. She is a social worker for SAFY in Greenville.
The bridegroom graduated from Butler High School in 2005. He received a bachelor’s degree from Slippery Rock University in 2010.
He is a captain in the Georgia National Guard and is employed by Verizon in Greenville.
Following a honeymoon trip to Greece, the couple is residing in Taylors.
