PITTSBURGH — Carnegie Museum of Natural History hosts “Animal Secrets” through Jan. 10.

Visitors can explore the hidden habitats and secret lives of forest animals in five naturalistic environments: stream, woods, meadow, cave and a naturalist's tent.

“Animal Secrets” is specially designed for children ages 3 to 8.

The museum at 4400 Forbes Ave. is open for the summer from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays with extended hours until 8 p.m. Thursdays and from noon to 5 p.m. Sundays. Call 412-622-3131 or visit carnegiemnh.org.

At the “Animal Secrets” exhibit, visitors immerse themselves in the hidden habitats and secret lives of forest animals. Children can discover nature from an animal’s point of view in a stream, meadow, woodland, cave and a naturalists’ tent settings.
