Nan E. Miller

Nan E. Miller, 87, of Cowansville died Friday at the Kittanning Care Center.

Born Oct. 18, 1927, in Elm Grove, W.Va., she was the daughter of Albert T. and Nan E. (Herbert) Griffith.

A 1946 graduate of West Liberty High School, Nan had worked at ACMH Hospital as a lab assistant for 10 years. She also owned and operated the Lake Brook Farm and the Cowansville Dairy Farm.

A member of the St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, she was a member of the Young at Heart and the Altar Rosary Society, sang in the choir and was active with the church dinners.

Nan enjoyed reading, working crossword puzzles, and tending her vegetable garden.

She is survived by two daughters, Christine King and her husband, Ron, of New Kensington and Nanette Weibel and her husband, Bill, of Karns City; and one son, Ted Miller and his wife, Kitty, of Cowansville.

Nan also is survived by one sister, Doris Pavelich and her husband, Adam, of Windsor Heights W.Va.; eight grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers and two sisters.

MILLER — There will be no visitation for Nan E. Miller, who died Friday, June 19, 2015. A memorial Mass will be conducted soon.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Buechele Funeral Home, East Brady.

The Miller family asks that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, 915 State Route 68, East Brady, PA 16028.
