Leona G. Marburger

Leona G. Marburger

Leona G. Marburger, 76, of Harmony went on the journey to meet her Lord and Savior at 4:45 p.m. Sunday.

Born Sept. 17, 1938, in Connoquenessing Township, she was the daughter of the late Clifford Clayton and Florence (Frishkorn) Dambaugh.

Leona was a 1957 graduate of Evans City High School. She was a faithful member of the Park Presbyterian Church, where she served as a deacon and belonged to the Martha Circle.

She worked for 23 years as a housekeeper at Passavant Retirement Community.

Leona had a magnificent smile that lit up the room. She enjoyed gardening in the summer and watching “The Waltons” and “Little House on the Prairie” under the biography section, but above all, she loved spending time with her pride and joy, her grandson, Braeden.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Cranberry Care Center staff and the doctors and nurses of UPMC Passavant Hospital.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving husband of 48 years, Douglas Marburger of Harmony; her three loving children, Greg Marburger of Cranberry Township, Sharon Marburger of Zelienople and Eric Marburger or Harmony; her brother, Ralph Dambaugh of Zelienople; her sister, Pauline Winchell of Evans City; and her grandson, Braeden Marburger.

In addition to her parents, Leona was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
