Eva Irene Hayes

Eva Hayes

Eva Irene Hayes, 92, of Asbury Heights, Mount Lebanon, formerly of Cranberry Township, went to be with the Lord Wednesday.

She was the beloved wife of the late James R. Hayes; the mother of Theresa Crisanti (Bob), Janet Huddleston (Tom) and Jim Hayes; and the grandmother of Frank and Liza Crisanti, Drew and Grant Huddleston and Liam Hayes.

One of 13 children from humble beginnings on a farm in rural Ontario to a graduate of the Niagara Christian College, Eva headed for the big city lights of San Francisco and found her place as a surgical head nurse.

She married and raised her family in the quiet woods of Western Pennsylvania and made friends with nearly everyone she encountered on her adventures. Eva Hayes was an entrepreneur with a pioneering spirit evidenced in her antique business.

An optimist and a caretaker, she lived her life fully and joyfully. A strong Christian and prayer warrior, we wish her peace and joy until we meet again.
