Mrs. Marie Acquaviva

Marie T. Acquaviva, 89, of Butler passed away Saturday at her home.

She was born March 12, 1926, in Brooklyn, N.Y., the daughter of the late Vincent and Vincenza Fico DiCamillo.

Marie was a homemaker. She formerly owned and operated Acquaviva's Pizza Shop on West Wayne Street for 31 years. After retiring from the Pizza Shop, she volunteered as a Head Start grandmother.

She was a member of Saint Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church.

She also belonged to the 55 & Alive of the Saint Michael's, the Sons of Italy Auxiliary and the Moose Lodge Auxiliary, and she was a life member of T.O.P.S.

She was also a lifelong Pittsburgh Pirates fan.

She is survived by her husband, Leonard M. Acquaviva, to whom she was married for 68 years; two sons, Michael V. Acquaviva and his wife, Paula, of Frederick, Md., and Carl D. Acquaviva and his wife, Marissa, of Malabar, Fla.; and two daughters, Leona M. Ricchuito and her husband, Rick, of New Kensington and Pamela Graham and her husband, Tom, of Jacksonville Beach, Fla.

She is also survived by one sister, Antoinette Dobbins of New Mexico; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Marie was preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters.

ACQUAVIVA — Friends of Marie T. Acquaviva, who died Saturday, June 27, 2015, will be received from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Martin Funeral Home, 429 Center Ave., Butler.A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Saint Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church, 432 Center Ave., Butler.
