Dale R. Sutton Sr., 75, of West Sunbury passed away at 3:50 p.m. Monday at Chicora Medical Center.

Dale was born Dec. 20, 1939, in Butler County.

He was the son of the late Ralph Merle Sutton and the late Frances Sara McGregor Sutton. He was a member of Springdale Lutheran Church.

Before his retirement, he had been a truck driver for various companies in the area. Dale was a member of the Historical Truck Society and an avid wood worker.

Dale is survived by his wife, Martha E. Sankey Sutton, who he married July 15, 1960; one daughter, Pam J. (LeRoy) Steiner of Harrisville; two sons, Jeffrey A. (Lisa) Sutton of Boyers and John Sutton of Boyers; one daughter-in-law, Tammy Sutton of North Washington; seven grandchildren; and one great grandchild.

One sister, Mae Noah of West Sunbury, and one brother, Dean (Karen) Sutton of Parker, also survive.

Dale was preceded in death by his son, Dale R. Sutton Jr., and two brothers.
