Lester Greathouse
Lester Bob Greathouse, 75, of Jackson Township passed away Friday while under the care of VNA Inpatient Hospice in Butler.
Born Dec. 3, 1939, in Arborvale, W.Va., he was the son of the late Lester and Erma (Mullenax) Greathouse.
Bob attended the Zelienople Church of Christ and was a member of the Conway Sportsman's Club. He worked at Halstead Mitchell for 32 years and at MHF Trucking until retirement. He had a passion for the outdoors and cherished the time he spent hunting and fishing. Bob was very fond of his beloved beagle, Maggie. He was a loving father and grandfather, who will be dearly missed.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his four children, Pamela (Michael) Spickerman of Zelienople, Robert (Sue Rohrman) Greathouse of Butler, Tammy (Scott) Koach of Harmony and Melissa Dewaine of Zelienople; nine grandchildren, Jason (Rachel) Spickerman, Robert (Sari) Spickerman, Sean Spickerman, Austin Greathouse, Jacquelyn (Joe) Rohrman, Dillon (Alyssa) Koach, Tyler Koach, Alieschia (Chris) Dewaine and Zachary Dewaine; seven great-grandchildren, Logan Rohrman, Kolby Dewaine, Zachary Dewaine Jr., Kyla Koach, James Spickerman, Nicky Wanchick and Cheyenne Dewaine; three sisters, Mildred Waybright of Zelienople, Elaine Cahall of Zelienople and Virginia Ripley of Slippery Rock; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 29 years, Nancy (Brown) Greathouse; one brother, Lonny Greathouse; and one son-in-law, John Dewaine Jr.
GREATHOUSE — The family of Lester Bob Greathouse, who died Friday, July 3, 2015, will welcome friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Boylan Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 856 Evans City Road, Renfrew.A funeral ceremony will be in his honor at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. John Mitchell officiating.He will be laid to rest at the English Lutheran Cemetery in Zelienople.In lieu of flowers, Bob's family suggests memorial contributions be made in his honor to Meals on Wheels C/O English Lutheran Church, 200 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople, PA 16063.
